Are Your Records Ready for an Audit?

With the new year upon us, now is a good time to make sure that your records and required employment law posters are up-to-date and ready for an audit. The number of audits conducted by both federal and state enforcement agencies and the amount paid in fines by employers has been on the increase. In addition, the investigations have been targeting smaller employers than in the past. Because it appears that this trend will continue, please make sure that your records, document retention and posters are all up to date and that you are using all the latest required forms (such as I-9 which was updated during 2013).
